Athletic, Health, and
Dean works as an Athletic and Health Specialist with individuals and groups of all backgrounds stretching from elite level athletes to elderly adults. He has developed his career over the last eight years honing his skills and knowledge in both a clinical setting as a physical therapist and as coach is strength and conditioning. Mainly his work has been in the Munster area but through his research he has gained opportunities to demonstrate his skills around Ireland and work within companies such as Health and Fitness Ireland Ltd. His skills help optimises peoples’ health on many levels which include but not restricted to nutrition, exercise and manual therapy aiding people in optimising homeostasis, stress and behavioural change in order to increase longevity, improving health and wellbeing. Other areas of interest are neurotransmitters and their effects on the nervous system, these neurotransmitters can aid cognitive function, sleep patterns, stress management and decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. He aims to continue his academic endeavours and practically apply what he learns into the industry.
